Electroacupuncture is a modern variation of acupuncture that is based on cutting-edge research and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This treatment uses specific frequencies of electricity to enhance the effects of acupuncture. A small electrical current runs through the small electrode attached to the needles. It causes a slight vibration, similar to the impact of an acupuncturist activating the acupuncture point with their hands. Overall, there are fewer needles involved in electroacupuncture than in traditional acupuncture, and maximum results can be produced after 30-minute sessions.

Like traditional acupuncture, electroacupuncture is not meant as an alternative to conventional health care. Electroacupuncture can treat various health conditions, including, but not limited to, the following:
Electroacupuncture offers a wide range of benefits to clients with various health conditions. Not only can electroacupuncture cover larger areas of the body than traditional acupuncture, making it more accurate, but it can help with conditions such as neurological diseases, chronic pain, muscle spasms, paralysis, and more.
Electroacupuncture provides the following benefits:
To prepare for your electroacupuncture appointment, we recommend setting time aside before and after your appointment, bringing a list of your current medications and supplements, eating an appropriate amount of food prior, dressing in comfortable clothing, and avoiding caffeine. These simple steps will ensure your electroacupuncture treatment goes as smoothly as possible. Many people experience a deep feeling of relaxation after receiving electroacupuncture.
Due to the holistic nature of acupuncture, a thorough assessment is done on the first visit before the initial treatment. The evaluation considers what may be happening within the person as a whole, not just directly related to the problem area, and considers the individual’s lifestyle, general health, and history, including childhood. Electroacupuncture treatments consist of an acupuncturist placing two needles in each meridian point, or acupuncture point, and then connecting them to a machine that will pass a minor electrical current through the needles. The number of treatments the acupuncturist recommends is determined by the client’s symptoms, how well they respond to the treatments, how long the problem has been ailing them, and more.
Electroacupuncture can treat chemotherapy-related nausea, arthritis, pain, stress, addiction, tinnitus, and so much more.
